For Latifah, Hudson and Keys, expressing their creativity through acting is a natural evolution from their music careers: “It’s always been in my blood, in my fibre,” says Alicia. “I’ve fallen asleep in many a theater chair. I’m a creative person and a creative person is creative on many level. As a musician it is natural to want to express the human condition. My songs come from my own life. When acting, I express the experiences of others.”
